Hattie celebrating being able to breathe on her own! 1/7/13

My daddy took this picture right after my breathing tube was removed!

Our first glimpse at Hattie's beautiful face without her breathing tube in the way. Don't you just love her?

Hattie was extubated just 12 hours after being born! And we got to watch! She was tugging at her breathing tube helping the nurse get it out. She seemed relieved to have the tube removed. Hattie is breathing on her own and is receiving room air plus 21% oxygen through her nose cannula.
